Well, folks are We ready to party, let Me here You say yeah. We got a party in the house. But this party was not just a way to have some fun, it was also a celebration honoring all of Our beloved Veteranís as well as commemorating a very special anniversary.

The Woodridge Veteranís of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 1578 on Saturday November 8, 2008 was putting on their annual Veteranís Day Dinner Dance and 25th Anniversary celebration of the post. This very special event took place at St. Scholastica Church in Woodridge, Illinois. This evening was designed to pay respects to all Veterans of all branches of the service, as well as saying happy 25th birthday to the post.

The event included an open bar, a yummy dinner, raffles, special displays form the VFW etc.

The event included a short program, which featured Radio Icon and WCCQ Radioís Rich Renik as Master of Ceremonies. Rich, also a Veteran of this great land gave some remarks as well as introducing several guests. Guests included Woodridge Mayor William F. Murphy and Illinois VFW Quartermaster Thomas E. Brislen. The program also featured a simply moving rendition of Our beloved national Anthem - The Star Spangled Banner by vocalist Robyn Vitson.
