Well, Well, Well. Yes, I know it is April and Peter Cottontail is hopping down the Bunny Trail, but let’s back up a month or two to February 2009 and of course the wonderful celebration of love and caring, We all know as St. Valentines Day. And yet again, once special place has solution to the question. Oh where oh where should I celebrate Valentines Day.

So on Saturday February 14, 2009 on Valentines Day itself, Lyonsville Congregational United Church of Christ in Indian Head Park, Illinois was putting on their Special Valentine’s Day Pancake Breakfast. This event was put on by The Church’s Men’s Breakfast Club. The theme of this wonderful pancake Breakfast was take Your Valentine to Breakfast. And that’s just what many guests at this Valentine’s Day Pancake Breakfast did. The whole room was beautifully decorated by the Ladies Group at The Church. Also The Ladies Group held a very yummy bake sale at the Breakfast.

The menu included deliciouioso pancakes, sausage, milk, coffee, tea orange juice the works. This was the second year that this special breakfast was put on By The Men’s Breakfast Club. Proceeds from the Breakfast went to the Church’s Parking Lot fund. So it’s a win-win situation, chow down on some awesome pancakes and then enjoy a brand new parking lot. Cool!

The Men’s Breakfast Group at The Lyonsville Congregational United Church of Christ usually meets on the second Saturday of each month at 9am at Willow Hills Restaurant in Indian Head Park.
