Well, last month in August 2009 We brought You the first of two segments featuring The Chicago Suburban Radio Association, a great ham and amateur radio club in the general Chicagoland Community and their annual emergency preparedness exercise called Field Day. Field Day is an event talking place all across the country and took place on Saturday June 28 and Sunday June 29, 2009. It is an emergency preparedness exercise which simulates when the power goes down and emergency communications are needed. On Field Day hams from across the country communicate with each other. Again, this event is sponsored by The ARRL the national association for Amateur Radio.
