            "Catch The Reading Craze"

Well it's September and all the cute little kiddies are heading back to school, but let's jump back to the very beginning of summer and throughout the summer of this year to bring You an awesome program taking place. Catch The Reading Craze.

The Rotary Club of Woodridge and The Woodridge Community Resource Center in Woodridge, Illinois offered a FREE Summer Literacy Program for Woodridge Area children currently enrolled in 1st through 4th grade. The Program ran between 6/16/08 to 8/11/08.

This program was a chance for students to improve their reading skills in a fun and exciting way. Though this program students were able to sharpen their reading skills as they headed back to school in September.

The Woodridge Rotary Club partnered with The Woodridge Community Resource Center to help local kids in the Community with their reading, an opportunity these group of kids were very happy to have.

The Rotary Club of Woodridge prides itself on it's Literacy Program and its educational program as a whole.

Originally The Woodridge Rotary Club funded a Dictionary program, where they passed out Dictionaries to Woodridge Area students. The Woodridge Rotary looked to the horizon to find new and exciting programs they could provide to local area youth.

This program was held at and basic operations were ran by The Woodridge Community Resource Center.

The Woodridge Community Resource Center which is a part of The Woodridge Police Department, offers programs to assist residents with a safe place to go after school, parenting support, ESL, and computer learning classes to the entire community. The CRC offers two main programs, the After School Program and the Summer Camp Program.

The Rotary Club of Woodridge is a Fantastic organization helping Our local Community and Our Whole Planet as well. Since 1989 The Woodridge Rotary has been providing a place for business professionals to meet and together help the Community and The world.

Woodridge Rotarians were made active participants in this program, by reading a story to the kids. Today students treated to a story read by Woodridge Rotarian Mr. Lee Robertson. Lee did a simply fantastic job reading a Frog and Toad Book. Later one of The Students in the class would read a story as well.
