Appreciation Luncheon Part 2

Well, January has come and
gone, but I want to tell you about an awesome annual event the takes
place in January. On Sunday January 17, 2010, at Toyota Park in
Bridgeview, Illinois, USA, The Bridgeview Lions Club was putting on its
Super Sunday Appreciation Awards and Luncheon. As always they honored a
educator of the year from School District 109 who was Dawn Koening, and
a Veteran of the year who was Bridgeview Lion Art Kivsky. This year The
Bridgeview Lions Club also honored Boy Scout Troop 13 and Crew Advisor
for Venturing Crew 13 Tom Bosworth. Troop 13 celebrates 55 years of
service of the Community and this month we celebrate 100 years of
scouting in America. As always Troop 13 took part in the ceremony by
posting the colors. Also, The District 109 Concert Band took part in
the ceremony by playing several patriotic song throughout the program.
Also honored today were special Senior Citizen group the help out the
Bridgeview Lions Club throughout the year, especially on Candy Day. The
Bridgeview Lions Club also honored a serviceman currently serving in
Iraq. As always there was a yummy Luncheon, including chicken, pork,
and Italian Sausage. Master of Ceremonies was Bridgeview Lion and
District 1A Governor Ray Jachim.
